Meditation, or mindfulness, and Expressive Art have been scientifically proven and globally-recognized to benefit, in some way, the overall health of most people who have practiced it. In this program, we share those gifts with each other, in a safe space. We take the time to enjoy the benefits of re-energizing ourselves through the right hemisphere of the brain (art, creativity, music), while living in a world dominated by the left hemisphere of the brain (logic, rationale, mathematics).
Sessions will be by aid of rhythmic and soothing tones. These sessions will help alleviate stress or achieve personal goals of the client. Some Imagery with calming, serene and contemplative images will also be utilized. ****The Afterschool program for children adds a physical, Artistic element.
Med.Art.Talk Summer workshop for Art/Social Anxiety ($175.00)

This program will consist of a three-half day (7:45 am until 12:00 pm) workshop and will be geared toward art expression and addressing social anxiety. We have seen a lot of uncertainties and disturbing events in our communities lately, yet we must embrace life and move forward (with awareness). Being aware of techniques that can help as our children return to school is our goal for this workshop. The program goals are to help children manage everyday stressors and learn about the benefits of mindfulness practices, stress reduction and art expression.
This program is for children ages 5 -14 years old. (Art supplies included). Slots are limited, so please submit request if interested and we will respond as quickly as possible.
Med.Art.Talk Afterschool Program (returning soon)
This program is a once a week, (2) hr. after-school program that helps children to release stress and learn to work with the benefits of mindfulness practice and art. The instructor teaches stress relief techniques and other techniques to achieve and maintain mental clarity while having fun in a safe environment. Pay is monthly.

What is Mindfulness, Meditation & Expressive Art and what are the benefits of practicing them?
- These terms refer to a broad variety of practices that includes techniques designed to promote relaxation, reduce stress, build internal energy and develop compassion, love, patience, balance, and forgiveness.
- Meditation and Mindfulness involve an internal effort to self-regulate the mind in some way. Meditation is often used to clear the mind and ease many health concerns, such as high blood pressure, depression, and anxiety. It may be done sitting, or in an active way, in order to involve a sense of Awareness in day-to-day activities as a form of mind-exercise.
